Facility
American
Environmental Landfill is constructed of one foot clay
liner, Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL), 60 mil HPPE Liner,
Geo-Net, Leachate collection system, two feet sand blanket
and a special interceptor water line to ensure water is kept
away from the landfill.
AEL’s
multiple scales provide easy and quick access to dispose of
incoming waste and keeps the premises secure. Each scale
can weigh up to 200,000lbs.
In order
to keep AEL’s exits and local public roadways clear from mud
and dirt there is a wheel washer in operation keeping
America beautiful and leading the industry in environmental
compliance.
With the
installation of the wheel washer and the latest technology
in liners, a leachate collection system, and an interceptor
line around the landfill keeping water from going beneath
the landfill, AEL has been named the number one operating
landfill according to the Oklahoma Department of
Environmental Quality (DEQ).
